hello team,
4 down, 1 left, (eric r, who writes a LOT, but its a good thing!). before i begin with eric’s, thinking i might not be able to finish it in time, thought of briefly explaining my rationale for analyzing the blogs the ways i have done. before jumping to ms frizzle’s code, i thought of going with dr luehmann’s guidance first. though they are not an exhaustive list of specific categories, they do cover the spectrum of concepts, issues, ideas we will try to capture from these blogs. so i decided that would be the best place to begin. i have also created a category “analyzing blog” to mark these. one thing i have not given is an overall impression of the bloggers so far, which i will do now:
alpa: started blogging late but is very positive in her thinking about teaching and its best practices. confident regarding the positive outcomes of reform based teaching.
ashley: exhibits belief and confidence in reform based teaching throughout
dawn: rich with experience, and is thus much more skeptical about reform-based teaching. however, open to learning because core value is strong regarding teaching
eric r: the positive attitude is identifying own shortcomings in his teaching practices. however, too impatient to identify and learn about reform-based teaching. demands more straight-forward solutions.
i’ll be happy to discuss these further in our meeting today
see you all soon
